Is Century 21 real estate any good, in terms of finding an apartment in Astoria, NY? I'm looking for an apartment in Astoria NY, which seems to be the hotspot, because I can't find anything. I have until July 15th, I've seen some postings but most of them are through brokers. I've also seem some really good listings on Century21's website, and I'm wondering if I should give it a shot. Does anyone know any good sites that may have listings for astoria with no brokers. Time is going and my progress is so slow. Help!!
Century 21 Real Estate or First Team Real Estate? I love First Team. I have bought all my houses from there. But I would like to have a poll. Tell me witch you like better. First Team or Century 21??? Then I will total them. Check back to see what the answers are. I will write the poll totals on an Additional Detail. (By the way, I work at First Team) I will put the score answers here! Look at the 1st Team Website. It is so much better than Century 21
What fees are involved in working for a large Real Estate Company like Century 21? I don't know much about working for a Real Estate company, and am looking to work at a Century 21 office in California. How does it work when you work at their office, since you are "in business for yourself". Is there a fee to work at their office? When do you pay them? Is it based on when you sell a house or monthly? Would you have to pay for all the "tools" they office, such as website design, etc? Any information is welcomed!

I just passed my CA R.E. test, and Ive been to a couple of interveiws with some of these companies, and a few local companies that specialize in homes in my city.... I am really leaning towards Coldwell but I want to know what companies have you heard of? In your opinion if you HAD to pick one of these to buy a home, which would you choose? Is there any real estate agencies that do rentals in Nebraska? Besides Century 21? Okay, So my husband and I live in a one bedroom apartment and want out as soon as our lease is up which is in about 2 months from now. We want to settle down in a house, but don't want to buy one at this time. So we are looking for any rentals in Nebraska, where we currently live. I have seen Century 21's website but they don't have much to offer. Does anyone know of anymore? Can you help?
Should I get classes in Century 21 to become in Real Estate Agent? I've been in Century 21 class orientation to know a little bit more about the career and of course they make every things sound great , because that's their jobs as recruiters. But when I'm looking on the Internet , it doesn't seem as easy as the recruiters made it sound; Apparently it's very competitive, maybe there's more sales now but it's not always the case , and if you 're not a broker you don't really make a lot of money. So if there's somebody that is a real estate agent , tell me more about the reality of this Career. How much money a beginner like me could make?

I took and passed my principals test, and got as far as making an appointment for the state test. But did not go. Anyhow, I am in Colorado now and would like to know how to become a realtor here. Which Real Estate Club would you join - ReMAX / KW / Century 21? Hi everybody, I'm going to be a real estate agent soon, if given the choice to pick a brokerage firm for mentoring.. of which do you feel delivers the best knowledge, training, support and is always on top of their games? What I've heard recently is when you're new it's better to pick the ones that offers you free office space, from what I heard.. only ReMAX gives you this benefit.. it that true? If you will, could you please elaborate more on the benefit / values of being an agent and the club that's offering today? Much appreciation :) -Minh
What is the best company to work for as a real estate salesperson? I will be getting my real estate license soon, and I was wondering of all of the top real estate companies, such as Century 21, Keller Williams, Remax, etc., which is the best place to work? I've heard of some places that are easier to get started than others, and some who actually charge you for on-the-job training. I've also heard of some that make you rent your desk in the office. What places are better and what places should I avoid when looking for a job?
What is the best way to find a real estate agent? We're first time home buyers and I don't know anyone in our area that's actually purchased a home - so I have no way to get a recommendation. Should I just check realtor.com until I run across someone that's particularly helpful? Is there particular well know real estate agents such as Century 21 or Remax that generally has a good reputation? What would you recommend for finding a decent one?
Should I Major In Business Administration or take a real estate class? i am currently majoring in business administration, i only majored in that so i can transfer over to business real estate. should i even waste my college money for that major or should i take a real estate class that Century 21 offers? i'm thinking business administration might be a good stepping stone so i could learn about the business industry in general. Also, what types of businesses can i work for with an AA in business administration?
realtor or real estate agent still paying for classes after obtaining license? well my wife is a real estate agent with century 21 NJ, she just started part time (yeah i know its a bad time to be an agent) but my issue is that every time i turn around there's a fee for some class. 100 for this class 200 for that class. Has any experienced Realtors run into this or is it just century21? is it a scam to make money in a down market? Or is this simply the way it is? let me know thx
How do I apply for a Saturday position in real estate? I have a full time job at a hotel and I have my real estate license and work for Century 21.My office does not advertise to be open on the weekends do you believe that?I got some business thru the hotel where I am able to put my business cards at the front desk.I wanted to apply for a postion to work on Saturdays at another office for hourly pay and be able to leave to show property if needed ( walk ins ) How can I apply for this? There is a Prudental office that is looking for an office assistant but my job pays a lot more than that I just wanted an hourly wage to be in the office from 9 to 5pm.Any advice would be great !! I was even thinking maybe a new home sales agent of course I would not be able to leave the office for that postion.
isnt it better to get a real estate license to sell your own house if your going to be selling a lot? of homes. i want to get my license, but not work as an agent, so i have the choice to sell my house my self and put it on the MLS and market it, instead of paying someone else to do the same thing for 5-6%. and if im selling it my self on the MLS with my license, then because im not with a firm like remax or century 21, and theres no real estate relatioship contract, i can also put it on for sale by onwer.com and sell it how i want. IF a buyer agent brings a buyer from the MLS i will pay them their halk 2.5% and ill pay the broker im listing with 1% so INSTEAD of paying 5-6% for someone else to sell it, i can do it my self, and ill keep the 1% the seller agent WOULD HAVE kept in profit which is like 7,000$. i would be saving money in the long term. and all contracts I use will be approved by my attoney so i can use the same one over and over and have it be legal and safe on my part. no thanks, im going to use a LLC.
What's a good part time job while just getting started in real estate? I'm 22 years old and I'm just getting started in selling real estate. I'm going to work part time at the local Century 21 agency, but need a REAL GOOD part time job to help pay for bills. I currently work at Lowes and only make $9/hr. I'm looking for something around $11 or $12/hr. Any suggestions?
How do real estate companies get mortages? I was wondering if I should go to a mortage lender company, and have them help me because the way I understand it they are connected to many different lenders. However, if I go through a real estate company, century 21, prudential, do they have financing with only one company, or 2..or do they have a larger network? I don't want to have to pull my credit a dozen times. I figured I should go to someone who can pull my credit once and run it but with a large group of lenders..does this make sense? Like when I went to get my car they pulled it and ran it through 30 different auto loan companies..does anyone have any idea as to what I should do? I will shop around, I just don't want to shop to every person in my town. Thanks!
How are new construction real estate agents paid? Only comission or salary too? I am currently working as a real estate agent for a nationwide company, Century 21. We are relocating and I am considering working in new construction because there is tons of new construction in the city where we're moving. It seems like the agents sit all day in the office waiting for clients. They can't go out and door knock or send mailers etc, as I do now as an agent. How do they ensure they get paid? What if no clients come in and they really can't do anything proactive to get more clients. I have an interview soon so I'll get more definite answers about pay, but I was just wondering and considering all my options so I can have a job lined up when we move. Thank you!
How reputable are the real estate courses offered by real estate companies? I am interested in going into real estate when I finish college and have been looking around at schools. Century 21 offers their own course (3 weeks) and another real estate company offers one for 6 weeks while the community college offers one for 8 months that trains you how to appraise and broker as well as just getting your license to sell. Which program is best and what is the difference between being a real estate agent (seller) and a broker? The costs range from $600-$2500
Which real estate companies are best for new agents? I'm planning on getting my real estate agents license in the next few weeks. I've heard that Century 21 and some other companies have their own courses. Is it better to attend their course or just a regular local real estate school. Also what companies are good for new agents. Any advice you can give is appreciated! Thanks! Oh and I'll be getting my license in Tenessee.

For real estate agents: What agency should I consider working for? Keller Williams, Coldwell Banker, RE/MAX, Century 21? Or, perhaps a small local agency? I hope I'm not forgeting one, but I think you get the idea. If someone is starting in real estate or wants to progress and learn as much as possible about houses and the market where should they start? I'm just a little familiar w/ these agencies but still don't know much.
Real Estate License, becoming sales person? I want to become a real estate "sales person" but I have lot of questions... Should I get it through a community college, or is there a way I can go to a real estate company like century 21, Cold well Banker, Prudential, or first team, and have them train me for free, or pay but be able to automatically become an agent there, and is it HARD to get into a company?? I KNOW it is a crappy market, but it is really what I want to do, and I live in a very dense area so I don't think it would be as hard, but I don't know much about it... HELP!!!
help selling my home real estate please read on? I am selling my condo through foxtons. I just heard they went through bankrupcy. Does this mean I can sign up with a different real estate or have to stick it out to my contract expires. One person working there said he is leaving to work with century 21 and will try to get me a get out of contract by foxtons next week and resign me with century 21. Can I just tell them forget you and sign up on my own someplace else.
I am looking to start a career in real estate.. need advice.? I have always been interested in working in sales, Ive done auto sales for a while and loved it, I am seriously considering being a real estate agent. I answered an add at century 21 and they replied with an invitation to a "career session" Is it legit, or are they pulling anyone off the street to suck the resources out of then drop em? Also, with the market the way it is right now.. is it a good idea as a begginer? I appreciate any input.
2 Real Estate Asking for commision on closing the house? This is my problem. I listed my house with donati real estate for about a year. they couldn't sell my house so i asked my agent that I want out from their contract and going with century 21. he said you can go ahead there will be no problem. so now i am with century 21 & my house is in contract. Now this Dontai agency came back from dead & want commission too. They are threatening to come on the closing table & want me to pay him too. I am already selling the house very cheap just to get rid of it & there is not much money going in my pocket if I have to pay them then I'll have to pay them from my own pocket. Please Help if anybody knows any thing about this & where can i complain. Thanks
How do i find a Real Estate Agent to sell my home? The person I bought my home from works in a different county and works for a private company. Would it be difficult for her to sell a home that is 30 minutes away from her business? Is it best to go with one of the bigger company's for better advertising? Coldwell Banker, Century 21, etc... Information for becoming a real estate agent in Florida? Is there anything you wish someone told you before you started? Are there any good books or websites you would suggest reading? Is it better to get started with a large known company in the beginning (century 21, remax, etc.)? Thanks in advance.
I want to become a Real Estate Agent? I graduated high school in 2006 and I want to become a Real Estate agent. I did a job shadow with the owner of Century 21 and she said the best way to get into the business is to work as a Secretary in a Real Estate office. In the paper there is a position for a Secretary for $8/hr, 30 hrs a wk, which there is no way I could afford getting paid that an hour and only 30 hrs a wk. And you will train to get your license in 6-12 months. Is there any other way to get into the Business and/or make a little more when starting out? I live in Montana and I know other states pay more, but that seems awefully low. Anyone been in my position or have any advice? Please answer only if you actually know! Please help! Thanks! :)
How do I report an unprofessional real-estate agent? I worked with a realtor last year and he was very unprofessional. After he sold me my house I needed to ask him some questions regarding paperwork he never gave to me and I also wanted to ask him about damage to my home. I feel that he completely changed after he sold me my house and didn’t care any more about the transaction. Is there a realtors association I can report him to? He works for Century 21 and his manager did not return any of my calls either!
