How does priceline's bidding program work? I'm planning to buy a plane ticket through priceline's bidding option on their site. I see that you can pick your dates and airports, but not the time. Is time the only thing that you can't pick, or do they sometimes change the day and airports too?? Can anyone with experience using this explain how the process works, since you are obligated to buy the ticket if the bid is picked up. I just don't wanna get ripped off if they change the flight dates or switch airports within the city.

If anyone knows of other websites that offer this kind of service, please reply. Thanks!

How is the bidding and payment done for a Sheriff Sale? If a sheriff sale listing says "Sheriff to collect $150,000" does that means the bidding starts there, ends there, or neither? How does bidding work on Ebay if you win? I'm not sure I'm quite nervous. I know bidding usually places you in a binding contract, but what happens if you win? For example if the Winning bid is $50 and the buy now price (which avoids the bid) is $500.. are you subject to paying the seller a high price like $500? Is it really possible to win a really expensive or cool item for a very cheap price by bidding?

What's Stopping a Person from bidding only at the end of an auction on Quibids? I have seen people complain at the cost of all the bids needed to win an auction, and I was wondering if there is anything in place on the site to stop a person from just bidding at the end of the auction. What is the "bidding" process when rushing for a sorority? I'm considering rushing for Alpha Kappa Delta Phi and I was told there was the rush, the bidding, and then the pledging. When pledging, what kinds of things do you have to do? Ahh, sorry, still answer original question. Is it an interview?
Does this eBay bidding seem a little suspicious to you? I have a used, semi-functional, iPod video on eBay right now, and there have only been two bidders. One of the bidders, we'll call him bidder A, seems legit, lot's of good feedback. The other, we'll call her bidder B, only has 2 a total of two feedbacks (both positive though) I looked up the bidding history between them and you'd think the normal bidding pattern between two bidders would be ABABAB, right? Instead it's something like this: BBABBBBBBBBBBABABA Why would bidder B bid 10 times in between? She kept raising the bid from $31 in increments of $2-$5 up to $60. Is this something that normal buyers do?
Can I prevent a specific user from bidding on my ebay items? How does one consider the estimate for bidding a job on laying tile flooring? If there are any professionals out there reading this, I really would like to know how it is figured in the budget to bid a job on laying ceramic tiles for flooring. Do you bid by the tile, square footage of the room, etc.? Does the size of the tiles matter or effect the price of the job? How do you figure for a hall way? Long or short. Thanks for your help in advance!
Where is the option (on eBay) to edit how a buyers ID appears when bidding? I often see listings, or bid on things, which don't display User ID. Some just display the bidding order (Bidder 1, Bidder 2 etc.) while others only show the first and last letters/characters of the users ID - both of which feature the buyers respective "status stars" along with # of feedback. In order to protect buyers from other vindictive buyers who lose the auction, where can I find this option?

What are the chances of bidding on a house for 25,000 less than the asking price? It's been on the market for quite awhile and is now vacant? Is there anyway to find out how much is owed on it? According to one answer which asked why would I offer less......why wouldn't I? I know for a fact that houses list on the high side just so there IS room for negotiating! And, the price I pay for the house does NOT in any way affect the property value! That's ridiculous! Not to mention the improvements I would make, it would be worth more! The house lists for $134,900. I know how much I can afford, so why not offer that. They know how low they can go, too.

How can I set a maximum bidding price on eBay? So I am trying to sell an item on eBay with a starting price of $19.99. If you have any questions for me, just email me at riceaustin@gmail.com. Thanks for the help.

How long does it take for ebay to recognize shill bidding through same IP address? If you use two accounts on the same computer, same day to bid on your own thing to sell, how long do you think eBay would take to recognize this? Is it something a person do, or a software. I'm just asking. Just don't preach about "be honest yada yada" because I don't sell stuff on eBay :) Thanks. They knew it and won't do anything? Does anyone have any tips on bidding strategically at public auction for homes in foreclosure? We have found a home that was foreclosed on and I would like to purchase it. I have limited funds and realize that there may be many more people there who have more money than I and may easily rip this house right out of my hands. What I am wondering is if there is any way to "put on my poker face" and walk out of there with this house despite the fact that I could have easily been outbid? There has to be a fine art to this. For whatever reason, the lender does not seem interested in any sort of negotiating. It will be sold on the courthouse steps. I also contacted the person who owned the house and they were going through bankruptcy and we couldn't work out a deal with them.
