Is Ebay jacking it big time to its sellers? I just realized lately the importance of Ebay charging a final value fee. I hope that I am very much mistaken but from what I have seen it looks like I will have to make at least 6-10 US Dollars on each item I sell (beyond what I originally paid for it) to cover the listing fee and final value fee. If I have a correct understanding of this - then I think Ebay needs to stop being greedy! I mean they are the biggest and definitely most known bidding site. Anyway, I digress, the fees according to the page I saw is, for instance for selling clothes- 15% for the first 50 US Dollars and then 9% for the rest of the money! Now this is on Fixed Price listings which don't always sell but do usually yield a higher amount. On Girlsense, you can design clothing and sell them (for virtual money, not real) in a customized boutique. There are also auctions, and it's social as you can form groups and meet people. On the contrary, many people find themselves questioning this positive attitude towards the World Wide Web, when considering the risks and disadvantages that it brings, and the dangers that anyone may encounter whilst online. Amongst the most popular sites are social networks, such as ’Facebook’ and ‘Netlog’, where users have their own page within the network, and can communicate with each other no matter where in the world they are. People of any age, race or background can use these sites, which means you can talk to all sorts of people and learn about hundreds of different cultures and lifestyles. This is a great way to meet new friends or keep in touch with your old ones. ‘MySpace’ is a network where accounts and home pages are created by users, and pictures, music, blogs (online diaries) and videos can be uploaded.
