What is the best site to find deep discounts on hotels?
I need to find a good hotel quickly. Where should I look?

- I like orbitz.
- There are two really good sources of discounts, Hotwire and Pricleline. But don't just take what they offer. Here's my secret. First, go to www.hotwire.com. They tell you what hotels they have in a city and neighborhood. You get a star rating (pretty reliable, in my experience), and the amenities (pool, free breakfast, whatever), but not the name of the hotel. Most important, they tell you the price. So, they might have a 3-star hotel for, say, $80, when the usual price is perhaps $120. Whatever the price, it is usually a good deal. But don't take it, yet. After you see Hotwire's price, go next to www.priceline.com and select "choose your own price." Then pick out a hotel with the same star rating and the same neighborhood, and bid LESS. than Hotwire's price. In the above example, you might try, say, $65 or $70. If your bid is accepted, great, you are in at a price you know is a bargain. If it is rejected, however, go back to Hotwire. You can still get the same or equal hotel for that $80. Playing the two discounters off against each other this way really works. I have saved a bundle by using it. Good luck!!
