What is the average percentage that auctioneers generally charge in the Midwest?

Household items...not guns, coins or collectibles.

1. Been to a lot of auctions and 10% is the average charged for goods regardless of cost.
2. yes 10 per cent is usual but some auctioneers will take less if you do some of the work. Do the advertising yourself and get things ready for the auction. Call a few Auctioneers and have them come look at what you have and see what kind of deal they will make.
