Can I get senior citizen discounts (e.g. in Hotels, Golf Cl., Rest.), as a visitor in California (age 62) ?
What kind of identification/proof is needed?

- I don't hink it matters what state you are in, as long as the place you are going to offers a discount then you should be able to "get" it. Some places offer one for 55 & older, some 65 & older. Just ask about it when you pay and they should then tell you in they need to check id
- Why not - I think only proof of age is required - not residency. Senior discount apples to age - not age where you reside.
- Each business decides at what age one qualifies as a "senior citizen", so you'd need to get that info from them or their websites. If you have a driver's license, that will serve as ID - or a passport, of course.
