I was wondering how useful is an internship at Century 21 for getting into a good college (UCLA/NYU/YALE)?
Century 21 is a top real estate agency.

- I don't think those colleges are really going to care about it.
- Absolutely no use at all in terms of qualifying. However, the discipline of having a job and being responsible will be good for you once at college because nobody will be there except for yourself to see that you do your studies.
- Internships may help you in your eventual career, but usually they don't play much of a role in getting you into college. The colleges are much more concerned with your academics and other extracurricular activities than they are with jobs, whether they are paid or not. The exception might be an internship in a science lab or on an archaeological dig, or something like that, since the lines between work and academics are more blurred.
- They will look at your ACT/SAT scores and GPA. Not that you took a summer job or internship for a program that doesn't even require a degree.
- if anything they would hurt you... I mean they are looking at getting future movers and shakers into their schools and you are going to be a "house pimp"?
