help selling my home real estate please read on?

I am selling my condo through foxtons. I just heard they went through bankrupcy. Does this mean I can sign up with a different real estate or have to stick it out to my contract expires. One person working there said he is leaving to work with century 21 and will try to get me a get out of contract by foxtons next week and resign me with century 21. Can I just tell them forget you and sign up on my own someplace else.

1. Depends on which state you're in but just write a letter to the agency stating that due to their financial situation you do not believe they can adequately represent your property as you were first told when you entered into the contract.
2. Most contracts have a termination clause. You should be able to write a letter and terminate this and go with whomever you want.
