How to find Commercial Real Estate?
I am a local CEO (California, Northern that is) and I am doing some research into looking into expanding our office. I have found a couple sites that offer listings but they ask for money. Does anyone know of a free Commercial Real Estate Database that I can use without going to a broker first? Just looking to do a little research first. Thanks a lot! I will be speaking to my broker FYI - I just wanted to take a look before that. Thanks!

- The easiest site I have found out there is called BuildingSearch. It is www.buildingsearch.com. It is totally free and a lot better than any of the other sites I found. It seemed like a lot of the other sites were just brokers looking to drum up new business or you had to submit some form and people got back to you a few days later. . . It is a quick sign up process and they have a lot of listings in California. I dont think they have listings outside of California yet, but if you are in Northern California this should be perfect for you! Good Luck! Jason
- The best thing you can do is to speak to a REALTOR with Commercial experience. They have the time to search for what your company needs, based on the information you give them, including lease or purchase information. Shoot me an e-mail I can help robert.barden@yahoo.com
- anything that anyone has spent time gathering info to put a website together is not going to be free - would YOU spend all the time that that takes and offer it for free? - just call a broker - that won't cost you anything - they only make money if they find the tenant/buyer
- Hi there, Just to respond to what the first answer was. I have used BuildingSearch.com as well and it looks like they are a advertising based platform which is why it is free. I used it and actually found a warehouse for my company that my broker didnt know about. It is best to have a broker through as they need to negotiate the contract! Best of luck to ya, Jake
- I have used http://www.LoopNet.com for commercial, you may want to try there.
- Loopnet.com or you can try costar.com (minimal fee). REALTOR is your best bet since most the information is up to date. You can also try craigslist.org. Need Help or advice. Just Ask. Congrats on the expansion.
