on ebay would it be better to wait until the last minute to bid?

cause i think if i keep bidding and someone else does also, the price will increase faster! and if i wait til about an hour or 30 minutes before, won't there be a less chance of the items price getting so high?

1. It depends upon the item and it's popularity. Some people use what are called "sniping programs" where they can preset their maximum bid, and their program bids in increments until the bid is won our outbidded on their maximum bid. But, say, if an item was $19.99 and you were willing to bid (but didn't want to), say to $49.99 and I sniped the auction with a maximum bid of $75...my bid would still beat you out at your $49.99 maximum because the sniping program starts bids at the first available range.
2. If you have high speed access you can try to be the last bid. You should always have in mind the price which you would not go over. Never pay more than you are willing to pay by setting the price and let ebay bid for you. Good luck.
