Is it better to pump wet or dry sand underneath a house?

We are about to buy a house and need to pump about 1 1/2 feet of sand underneath it. We got bids on both wet and dry sand. There's a huge difference in price, but I was wondering which is better, wet or dry? or does it even matter?

1. is the house pier&beam or slab? why would you need to pump sand under it? sounds like you be buying a great heartache there. Have the house inspected by a licensed inspector. Wow, red flags are all over that. Best of luck.
