How can I form a clear plastic, acetate or acrylic, to make boxes to enclose collectibles?
I got lots of old toys (dolls, cars, action figures) big & small collectibles which I would like to preserve in clear plastic enclosures. These items if enclosed, would be kept from dust and insects, and would give them a longer self-life. These would also serve as decorative piece, can be displayed in your living or bedroom or somewhere inside your home you found appropriate.

- There are books on this. See-Vacuum forming. Also clear acrylic sheet (at hardware store) can be cut, sanded, and glued to make sturdy cases. Accuracy of the fitted pieces is imperative!
- You may also wish to purchase acrylic cases in different sizes for your collections. http://www.misterplexi.com/dollcase.html .
- I think that WayMoreParsec has headed you in the right direction if you want to make you own boxes. Here's some further information on the glues used with acrylic: http://www.craftics.com/products.cfm?Category=80
