2. Ebay is the best because of the "network effect". Sellers like to put their items on the ebay platform because it won the war with QXL and a few other operators. Ebay is preferred because the more viewers your item gets the more likely it is to reach fair value and actually sell. Also more items listed and so wider choice for potential bidders to peruse. The network effect... will be hard for any listing company to now knock ebay of its perch unless ebay does something incredibly stupid or gets too greedy with commissions. (the guy who started QXL found the name when he was thinking... quick sell.. over and faster and over till it came out at QXL - however QXL was always too much of a mouthful and doesn't roll of the tongue easily - also they put too much graphic on their site at start and was slow to load - ebay won cause of simple errors by QXL - name and speed).
