- I think you will find that for you to receive emails you will need a contract and not PAYG,i asked for myself because i don't do direct debits and everywhere i asked i was told i need a contract. Good luck in any case.
- to enable email on blackberry you need to have access to the rim server as mobile networks are charged for access to this then they pass the charge onto the customer as they pay per customer that they connect to it this means that they will only allow access to contract customers as they have to ensure they recoup the cost because they have to pay even if the customer dosn't also it means that if you have a blackberry then the service books (these contain all the settings for email gprs etc) are only sent to the phone when you are enabled with rim server access as you can't get this on payg then your blackberry will only send/recieve sms and make calls it won't even do mms as you need gprs access for that
- you will need a contact with most providers, because blackberry required you to have a special APN (access point) set-up on the network, which is usually billed extra for. without this APN, you will not be able to the use any GPRS features on the handset - emails, WAP, Internet etc....
