Would you buy or sell your pet online?

would you buy or sell your pet online, in a site similar to ebay for pets, where people can bid to buy your pet or you can choose with pet to buy. What risks do you see in this kind of business?

Public Comments

  1. I wouldn't. people can scam you that way..
  2. I wouldn't trust something like an ebay for pets, I would lean more towards adoption centers where you find the pet you like ask questions about it and then go directly to the place of buisness or breeder and pay in person and recieve my animal.
  3. There are a few good sites out there that are like ebay, but do pets only. The problem with it is that you dont know who your pet is going to and if you are buying, you dont know who has raised the pet or the quality. Check to see if the site has guarentees or fraud protection. Depending on the animal that you are looking for, should depend on whether you should buy or not. You need to consider how they have been handled, have they been abused, are they feed properly, have they had vaccines, stuff like that.
  4. I would want to see what the animals look like and I sure would never sell an animal on ebay as I would not know who I would be selling it too, maybe a testing lab...................
  5. Never in a million years. You could be sending your dog to some sicko or to a lab. And if you were buying, how do you know the temperament without seeing the animal or it's parents? And you could be supporting a puppy mill were you to buy as well.
  6. nothing beats the experience of seeing n feeling the pets real life.after all ure buying a real life animal,u shld check throughly whether it has fleas or seems healthy.Judging soley on photos is nt reliable.as u nv noe whether it is healthy, after all u wont want to end up with a sick pet at e end of the day.
  7. ?
  8. I've gotten dogs of the internet before, but you would have to be careful...and make sure you buy from a breeder that has a reputation for what they do. I would recomend going to puppyfind.com and check their web site and stuff BEFORE you buy the dog...make sure you have their phone #, even call it and talk to the people in person. If you are going to have it shipped they are required to have the pup checked within 24 hourse of shipping, so I wouldn't worry to much about getting a sick dog, but do be careful, and make sure you buy from a responsible breeder
  9. I wouldnt do something like that, but i do have 5 horses listed for sale a site i trust....
  10. No. i don't think you can sell it on line.Because it will be easy to be cheaten.
  11. Since I'm NOT an ABSOLUTE ***UTTER IDIOT****...OF F'n COURSE *NOT*!! THE ***WORST*** way to place ANY animal!! *****ONLY**** used by CROOKS or TOTAL MORONS!! Is that TOO SUBTLE???
  12. I bought my last dog through puppy.com. The breeder was in the same state that I am. I talked to her and emailed her several times before I sent a deposit. When I picked him up a few weeks before Christmas, he was dressed like a little reindeer and wrapped in a baby blanket and smelled like baby powder. He is 10 months old now and is one of the sweetest most loving little weiner dogs I have ever seen. The moral of this story is that you have to choose carefully.
  13. No. Lots. Don't even think about it. LLL
  14. Neither. When I am buying a dog, I want to meet the seller, see the parents and relatives of the pup and the environment in which it was raised. When I am selling a pup, I want to meet the family and ensure that they are suitable for one of my babies.
  15. NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
