Cant argue with facts?

Public Comments

  1. Right, but do not try to confuse the neo-cons with facts, you have to remember that they are more adapt to lies as the tell them all the time.
  2. 2+2=5 Dear heart plus...(person below me) If you had any understanding of how sarcasm and irony worked, you would realize that 2+2=5 is in reference to the question posted "can't argue with facts?" which is followed by a bunch of half-truths, assumptions, and opinions, and therefore, nothing to do with the truth. My statement of 2+2=5 is a much shorter way of listing all that the poster listed after his initial "question." I apologize if intelligent humor is too...intelligent for you. You are a Jenius with a capital J (again, sarcasm).
  3. ^ Proof that the educational system is inadequate. You are correct, sir.
  4. give em hell, dude! you're awesome.
  5. Considering that the so called rich pay most of the tax burden then why shouldn't they get a cut.....we are but a small drop in the bucket. http://www.allegromedia.com/sugi/taxes/
  6. Question: What income group pays 85% of the federal income taxes in this country? What is YOUR answer. I won't hold my breath.
  7. Brilliant. But if facts really mattered to his constituency of LCDs, he wouldn't have had the chance to steal that first election to begin with. And don't forget the THREE TRILLION of national debt he has added in just 6 years.
  8. You are going to be Idiots hall of fame 2006. This also proves that no matter how progress we get idiots like you will exists. Also what is the question ?????????
  9. Well obviously your opinion is with the majority....which is why the Bush Family has held 3 Presidential terms....NOT! You dumbass - Feel free to excercise this freedom of speech under the grim hands of the muslim extremist, which is where we would all be if it were up to idiots like you. Thanks GOODNESS for the likes of the Bush Family....
  10. The thing that really pisses me off is the jump from 15-25% for the middle class. NO other brackets have a 10% jump. I just want a Balanced tax table. I don't care how much the wealthy people pay.
  11. All the BS and your left out the fact that most middle income people get the majority of their taxes back in the form of a refund. You also left out how the top 5% (rich) pay 85+% of all the taxes. I got every cent back from my taxes thank to Bush's tax plan. Under Clinton the USA would have kept $5000 of it. Your obviously motivated by stupidity and hate. I would vote for bush again just to keep my tax's the way he's put them. Thank you GW Bush
  12. Your ranting and raving appears to be based on a lot of hatred and some pretty crummy information sources, beginning with the AFL/CIO and the Sierra Club and ending I know not where, since your trash isn't worth reading.
  13. So what's your question? Some of thoes facts are irefutable. Some are certainly debatable and subject to quite a bit of spin. some of you above have your "facts" confused. The top 1% don't pay 85% of the taxes. It breaks down like this. The top 1% of taxpayers by income pay 33% of all individual income taxes, and 22.7% of all federal taxes. The top 5% of taxpayers pay 54.5% of all individual income taxes, and 38.5% of all federal taxes. The top 10% of taxpayers pay 67.4% of all individual income taxes, and 50% of all federal taxes. The top quintile (20%) pays 82.5% of all individual income taxes, and 65.3% of all federal taxes.
  14. Thank you. Good to have alot in one place. But there's stuff left out of course.
  15. I would love to argue the facts with you. However, some of us have jobs and can't spend the amount of time required to refute everything you listed. All I have time to do is summarize: Everything you listed are either lies, facts taken out of context, information put forth by non-credible sources, irrelevant, or no different than under any other president. I'll refute the first "fact" now. The top 1% pay the vast majority of the taxes. So, even if they get a smaller percentage tax cut than lower brakets, they still save more in total dollars (this is easy to understand by anybody that passed 3rd grade math.) So it may be a "fact", but it is completely irrelevant, as those that pay taxes get a break, those that don't pay taxes, dont get a break. Try putting them forth one at a time, so people can take the time necessary to refute them.
  16. A bold set of statements. Hopefully our set of problems will improve in two more years.
  17. It must be Clintons fault.
  18. Apparently you do not understand the difference between a fact and an opinion. I am providing you with a link to educate you.
  19. Sorry. Didn't read past your first point because, really, they weren't related, and your whole post smacked of a tirade, not a question. However, when people say that the wealthy are not taxed fairly, I have to question their definition of fair. When I was in school, fair meant equal or something like it. In my mind, it still does. So fair would mean that everyone would be taxed the same percentage. I'm taxed in the lowest bracket. If I move up much, unless I move up a whole lot, I'll be taxed in the next bracket and I'll actually end up making less than I do now. How is that fair? The year my brother got married, he was taxed 60%. Is it fair that he and his wife had to work for 7 months just to pay the government and only got 5 months of their pay for themselves when there were people who weren't working at all but getting benefits?
