Question about Currency and eBay bidding?

I am wanting to bid on an item on eBay that is located in Canada. I have never bid on an item outside the US before on eBay. If the auction is listed in US dollars does that mean I pay in US dollars or do I have to transfer currencies. I pay with PayPal by the way. If anyone knows how this works please let me know.

1. If it is listed as US currency that's what you pay. Even if you are paying internationally Paypal takes care of the conversion for you. Any additional fees are paid by the seller. Sometimes you'll see the Canadian currency and next to it the US equivalent. It's not uncommon, however, for Canadian auctions to be listed in US currency only. Sometimes they still list the shipping costs in their currency. If that's the case you can use an online conversion tool to get an idea how much that would be.
