Where can I find the value of The Art of Chokin Collectibles?

I have a 1983 numbered, signed by artist Chokin music box, 24kt gold, only 7500 made, but I don't know what to sell it for. I also have a Chokin plate that would be from the same time period. Again, no idea what to start it out. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

  1. Chokin is a technique of surface decoration based on work developed centuries ago in Japan. Many chokin pieces from this century and the last one are basically kitsch or souvenirs for tourists, and don't have a lot of value to collectors. Any art object is worth exactly what you can get for it, and has no intrinsic value beyond its materials. That's sad, but sometimes it possible to reduce a culture and its art into dollars and cents. People do it on eBay and in auction houses all of the time.
