Belt Auction

Does bidding on Ebay cost any money at all apart from what you pay if you win?

This is a dumb question, I know. I just want to make sure Ebay has no hidden fees for placing bids. I've started making bids on various items -- I'm assuming that if I don't win the auction, I don't pay a cent, correct?

  1. nope. free to bid.
  2. No but watch out for shipping charges, many sellers charge exorbitant shipping or hide huge shipping costs by listing something for $1.00 then charging $75.00 to ship it. You pay nothing unless you win, and if you win you leaglly must poy, including shipping.
  3. No it's free to bid. You have to pay if you win so be careful. You have to pay shipping as well so watch out for that. Some pepole will try and trick you by selling real cheap and really overcharging on shipping. I've seen 10 dollar shipping on a 99 cent item. Make sure it's a good deal by searching the net as well for a retail price and always make sure the seller has a good rating. Read their feedback
  4. Right you don't have to pay unless you win. FYI: make sure you double check sellers shipping info. A lot of sellers like to try and stick you with excessive shipping cost.
  5. yeah you are spot on but remember before you bid do your research, check small print, postage and feedback. Happy Ebaying!
  6. Those who wish to bid and buy items on eBay don't pay eBay anything. If you win, you pay the seller. eBay makes its money from the sellers and advertisers.
  7. Definately no fee to bid. I was a new user to Ebay around xmas and i bought a dvd box set and it was shipped on the 18th of Dec. and guess what ( I still dont have it) So now i'm in the battle to get my money back cuz i bid by money order ( I know stupid) learned my lesson just be cautious of who ur buying from and definatly read there feedback make sure u know what type of person ur possibly buying from.
