What are some great bidding tips for ebay?

1. if you are close to winning an item wait til the last 60 seconds of the auction and then put a bid higher than the highest bid. this will leave the other guy trying to get another bid in and not enough time to do it You will actually only pay what the next highest bid would be say it was 32.50 and the other guy said he would go only to 34.00 max on his bidding and you bid 36.00 you would pay only 34.50 for the item.
2. I believe you can set an auto-bid up to a your price limit for each item. This is especially useful in the last hour or so when most of the bidding activity takes place and you may not be able to monitor it live. IIRC the auto-bid will raise the bid by $1 above the previous most recent bid.
