How do I do the automatic out bid thing on eBay?

Hello, Well on eBay before when i bid on something it said i have been out bid. But it was auto, using that automatic bid thing. Its like when you enter your max bid then bid and then bid or somthing. Yes i know its confusing but i was wondering how you set it so you automaticly out bid someone till you hit you max amount.

1. you cant thats impossible to do...i use eBay all the time and you cant do that
2. It was called "spiking". There is a program that will let you bid your maximum just before the bid ends. It won't bid till the last minutes of the auction, I think you could tell it how many minutes or seconds to wait before "Spiking". I haven't seen one of these programs in a long time though.
3. You just bid with your maximum amount to begin with. For example, say you want a pair of shoes and the most you would pay for them was $10. You enter $10 as your bid , but it may only start out with your bid showing as $1 on the auction page. If someone bids $2, your bid is automatically raised to $3. You would not be outbid until someone else bid more than $10. If no one bids besides you, you only pay your opening bid, which in this case was $1. You may also be asking about sniping, which is outbidding the high bidder at the last possible bidder. You can use a service like www.esnipe.com for that.
4. Its called "sniping" You use software optimized for your connection and set the max bid (amount you'll pay) and wait. Advantages: you don't drive the price up trying to out bid someone else. Sometime one up manship drives the value up to more than retail. You don't have to be home or by a computer to bid if you are on broadband the program bids automatically at your determined time. Disadvantages: that bid is placed in the last second, no time to rebid. That is why you should set the max you want to offer in the program.
