ebay automatic bids?

i wish to purches an itim and i am prepeard to bit for it till $40 and it starts from 0.99 how can i rebid evry time that some one dose untill $40

1. It happens automatically as long as you set your Max bid to $40
2. just bid $40, ebay will automatically bid in increments up to that point. I would bid 40.76, though. If somebody else also only bids to 40.00, you win
3. just put $40 as your bid it will automatically bid like $2 and then raise it if anybody else bids more, up until $40
4. When you bid on an item on Ebay it asks for your MAX bid, which means whatever you enter in is the most you are willing to pay for that item. Ebay will automatically bid for you up to your max bid when anyone else bids. It will not bid all $40 at once, only in increments.
