When bidding on something with a reserve on ebay does this mean the following will happen?
Lets say the guys reserve is set at $500 and I place a bid of $525 and meet the reserve...will my bid automactically be displayed as $525 as the high bid without anyone bidding anything higher than $500. Like with my bid lead to an automatic $525 bid if that makes any sense?

- Only the highest amount that the previous high bidder had put in will be displayed for the time being. Your amount will only go up, as it is the maximum bid, when someone else bids higher than that previously high bid. The page should say whether or not the reserve is met once the bids put it above that amount. Reserves on ebay auctions are signs that the seller may be difficult and many say you should avoid bidding on items which have a reserve price.
- Short answer, No. You will be displayed as the top bidder until someone else bids higher than your maximum. Once the reserve price is met, the item simply shows "reserve met." Nobody can tell how much you have bid unless they outbid you.
