Do you get an automatic e-mail telling you that you have been out bid when an indiviudal places a bid against yours?

- i do.
- You should but it doesn't always work.
- you should
- Yep, you sure do.
- yup
- Yes, you do.
- yes, if that bid is higher than your maximum bid.
- I have mine set for automatic notification for a bunch of things, but I think you get it anyway if you are outbid.
- yes it is in ebay's interest more acivity and higer sales prices ( higher final value fees charged to seller)
- Yes, you should get automatic emails for outbid notices, also for confirmed bids, if you won or lost the auction, if your item is about to end soon, invoices to pay for your item, and a receit for your records..... they come prepared, lol.
- I've ALWAYS gotten one.
- yes
- Yes, but I'm pretty sure you could opt out of them by changing your preferences. Personally, I opt out of receiving one when I've placed a bid. Seems sort of silly to me. :-) Please do not rely on these messages to get to you *in time* if someone places a bid at the last minute. This is by far the best way to win an auction, btw. As close to the end of the auction as possible: Bid Once, Bid Your Max.
