Who would have won between Mike Tyson and Sonny Liston?

Both fighters at the very top of their game, only one Heavyweight Belt $100 million gate. No Don King, No Bob Arum.

1. In Mike Tyson's heyday he would clobbered anyone. He may even have beaten an in his prime Ali.
2. I think probably Tyson. Liston had a rep, but no one was better than Ali in HIS prime. Funny you picked Liston.....interesting is more like it I guess.

4. First off, the gate would not have been $100 million, especially without a promoter. For Liston to win, it would probably have to be by decision. He had one of the best jabs in the heavyweight division, especially with his longer reach. He would doubtless build up a lead early in the fight. However, I see Tyson making a surge late in the fight to make it much closer. The opponents that Tyson has had trouble with are taller opponents. Although Liston is a big fighter, he's not much taller than Tyson and so wouldn't pose as much of a threat. Overall, it would probably go to a decision with Liston winning because of all the early rounds he won. This would be very interesting because in cases like this, the public always starts screaming about how the fight was a robbery. Now that would be something.
