Where/ how do you store your department 56 collectibles?

I was just wondering where you store them because I'm having an issue with space. I would like to put them in our finished basement but it is chilly down there and I'm wondering if that is too cold? I tried to research but can't find any answers.

1. As long as it's above freezing, constant temperature and humidity is probably more important than a particular temp and hum. In my experience, de-humidifying (or air-conditioning) in summer and keeping at 40 degrees or more in winter is fine.
2. My wife stores similar collectible Christmas and Halloween buildings in their original boxes, in plastic totes, in our basement. In the coldest weather, the temperature could get down to 55f, without any problems.
