Do vegetarians/ vegans wear leather?? In example, leather shoes, belts, etc.??
I wonder this at times. If they claim to not be hypocrites, then what are the majority of their shoes and belts made of?

- vegens no, vegeterians; it depends on how strict they are.
- Not if they are seriously vegan in mind set but yes most veggys wear leather soles or trims on shoes
- Strict vegans don't wear leather, fur or even wool. There are plenty of man-made materials to make shoes and belts from. Vegetarians might.
- If they are vegetarian or vegan because they love animals, then they wouldn't wear leather or any other animal products. If they were vegetarian or vegan for health reasons, then they might wear leather.
- I am not a vegetarian nor a vegan but I want to defend them as any one that is suggested that they hypocrites. Their matter of choice is a private matter and not to be hauled out and made fun of.
- No.
- vegans do not wear any animal products (fur, suede, leather, etc.) vegetarians might based on the reason they chose to be veg. for example, some people are veg because they think it is healthier or better for the environment, and those people wouldn't have a big argument with leather. people that are vegetarians for the sake of animal rights, however, would most likely be the vegetarians that don't wear animal products. also, keep in mind that this may depend on how long they've been veg. i just recently became vegetarian and i am still wearing my leather products.....i feel that now that i have them i might as well wear them until they wear out.
- vegetarians are more likely to wear leather than vegans. being vegan means not consuming (eating, wearing) animal products, including food and clothing. vegans dont eat meat, dairy products, or things containing gelatin which is made from animal bones. they dont wear leather or fur. those who label themselves vegetarians are not as strict as vegans and will eat dairy and wear leather as they please, they just do not eat meat.
- Some do and some don't. Not all vegetarians/vegans make those choices for their diet because of animal rights issues, some choose not to eat meat for health reasons, so in that case they could wear leather and other animal byproducts without being hypocritical.
- im a vegan, and i only wear dinosaur skin. its so pretty i have to make an exception. id rather go naked then wear fur.
- it depends how strict they are.
- K, keep in mind that leather is the skin of an animal. Secondly, the wearing of leather all depends on the person's religion and how strict they are. Some vegans and/or vegitarians do wear leather, but the rest wear fake leather. Also, majority of the vegans and vegitarians don't wear animal products unless if its fake.
