What should I put on my belt leather to condition it?

I bought a belt blank about a year ago, and as an experiment I put nothing on it, wanting to see how time and conditions would age it. I did that once with a leather shirt, years ago, and it looked great after a few years. But the belt just looks dried out and unconditioned. Okay. So what should I put on it now? Vaseline? Okay, I'll try it.

1. Just use some good ole Vaseline. It will condition and moisturize it. It will darken it, so don't be alarmed.
