Belt drive lawn mower. Not too much grass at all is too much strain. Adjustments?

1. loosen the belt
2. Check the mower deck spindles for any binding. You may have a bent spindle. Good idea to give the mower deck a good cleaning, top and bottom before you check.
3. Is this a rider or walk behind? Are you talking about mower deck belts or ground motion belts?
