How do I change the belt on a riding lawn mower?

1. disconnect the spark plug make sure drive and cut levers are deselected remove any belt covers take note of the routing of the existing belt(draw a sketch or photo on your moby) the belt should then be slack enough to remove from one of the pulleys,remove it then fit new one some mowers have a belt tensioner that you may have to slacken just have a good look under the covers before you start
