how do i stop a v-belt from slipping?

This v-belt is on my drill press. I cannot immediately find a replacement belt and have some drilling that needs to be done now.

1. With a V-belt you can use an item called belt dressing, it comes in a aerosol can in any discount store's automotive dept. It won't take much to get the belt to grip, just spray a little on each pulley and that should do it. Good luck.
2. Tighten it again use belt dressing it will give it bite!
