What tool can be used to align V-Belt Pulleys properly & whare can I get one?

This is for a 25-ton Air Handling Unit

1. I don't remember what it's called, but You can rent specialty at most auto zone stores. You just pay a deposit, and get all or most of it back when You return the tool.
2. You can allign V-belts with a set of wrenches and string. First you have to allign the pulleys.the tools can be purchased from a hardware.
3. It all depends on how far apart the pulleys are from each other.You can usually do it by just looking but i normally use a straight edge to align them if the distance is more than 6 feet between pulleys.Laser alignment is probably you best bet as it is very accurate.
