what are some good collectibles for young boys?

I want to start collecting something for my son that will be worth something when he gets older.

1. Baseball cards or bobblehead dolls. I collect both of those and they could be worth something in the future!
2. Sports memorabillia (sp?), coins, postage stamps, etc.
3. coins,stamp,invitation card,greeting cards and even ur photograph's which will bring him back his childhood memories...
4. Model cars
5. growing up baseball cards were my thing... if ur in it for value go for a lot of rookie cards if that player turns into a star the value can jump like crazy....however, nowadays there isnt much value in them anymore. by the way, when i left for college i gave all my cards to my lil bro who was getting into it,bastard ended up giving them away even the good ones
6. action figures. but he would always be tempted to open then so i would keep it secret if you did that
7. hot wheel cars,kinder egg toys,toys from mcdonalds
