- Try taking the real estate course that gives you your license .... Many Realtor / Brokers offer the course for a small fee of $250 - $350 OR for FREE if you agree to work for their office for a period of time after getting your license .... A realtor has to give proper NOTICE before entering a listed dwelling ....
- In most companies you are self-employed, so usually you do get to pick your own hours, etc. In the company that I worked for we did have certain times that we had to be in the office (I have 2 four hour shifts a week) in case any new customers came in or called, so that there would be an agent on duty to help them. I really liked the fact that I only had to be in the office that little, and the rest of the time (when I wasnt out showing houses, etc) I could be on my laptop at home in my jammies, or with the kids.
- Depends on your broker. Once you get your license you have to work under a broker. You should at least interview with several brokers before you choose one. When you interview you can find a broker that lets you work from home or whatever hours you feel like it. I am active duty Air Force so I can only work in the weekends and afterwork. Luckily my broker helps me out alot. He attends some of my house inspections, contract write ups, etc..... So hopefully you get a good broker.
