Are collectibles more valuable if they are factory sealed?

My Harry Potter book set 1-7 (the trunk) was not wrapped, but the display inside the trunk is wrapped.

1. if they are as original as possible and untouched. not damaged
2. It depends on the collectible. In many cases the answer is yes, especially in certain fields such as toys.
