I am going to a wedding for a couple in their 40/50s. They are having a dressed down request for attire. I plan on wearing: Giorgio Armani Seersucker Pants Brooks Brother French Cuff shirt Custom made Alligator belt Black or Brown Kenneth Cole shoes Custom made silver cuff links David Yurman and Lacsote jewelry ______________________________________... Yes I will look wealthy. But will do other people usually wear to a wedding in Raleigh/Durman, NC

Those folks will probably more appreciate the more common navy jacket, light blue shirt, and khakis. If the seersuckers are the tan/white combo and not the blue/white you could probably pull them off. I've done the NC wedding thing and you really should consider the heat and humidity. The seersuckers will save you on that end since they are so light, but you should be aware of your surroundings. I did a wedding with a light wool in late April and it was still too heavy.

atg28 is steering you on the right path. The accepted, universal look around here is blue and khaki. Keep everything lightweight for comfort, and don't try to look too fancy. Hope ya don't get barbeque sauce on your Brooks Brothers french cuffs.
