Belt Auction

Is it bad etiquette to BLOCK a bidder in ebay?

What if he has already bid on 10 of your live auctions...if i add him to the block list, will his bids be removed? Jeremy: That's exactly the reason. The person bidding on my auctions leaves nothing but negative feedback. I'm scared he'll tarnish my good reputation!

  1. i dont know why you would want to block him, he is buying all your stuff
  2. if you have to ask then it probably is.
  3. It is bad etiquette, unless you have a reason. Doing it because you don't like the person is bad but if they ripped you off it is OK
  4. It depends on why you want to block them. If you have no reason to block them, it is bad. If they have ripped you off before, then I would have no problem with it.
  5. It is OK to block a bidder, I had to do it once because I noticed that the person bidding on my merchandise left ONLY negative feedback for others, never positive. Blocking him does not negate his bid, you must do this thru a seperate process,,
  6. Absolutely not. If you don't want to sell to someone for some reason, then you have some power as to avoid him. Ebay has even put in some features that make this easier, SUCH as the block bidder feature. When you create a listing, you can block bidders who have a 0 rating as well. If you suspect that you will get negative feedback no matter how smooth the transaction is, you have every right not to engage with the guy. Same goes for someone with a really low rating. Follow your instincts! Good luck!
