When is a 10-day eBay auction better than a 7-day auction?

I have just inherited several hundred jazz, Big Band and classical LPs from the 1940s to the 1960s and am planning to auction them off on eBay and was wondering if it makes any real difference between a 7-day auction and a 10-day auction for valuable collectibles such as this. Does the extra three days usually make much difference as long as the auction ends at a good time (usually Sunday evenings, from my observation)?

1. I usually start my auctions on a thursday evening, for 10 days. I find it makes a difference as I get the benefit of 2 weekends for people to find my auctions.
