Cursed?????Today I got my purchased from ebay - a hand bone carved chinese monkey snuff bottle?
And I eagerly got it out of the box and there is nothing wrong with it but it does not feel nice. I dont know what it is but I had the urge to put it outside in its box. It just does not have a friendly feel - can things be cursed and if it does not feel right is there something I can do - like wash it in green tea or something??? Its supposed to be an antique but its just got this vibe .....Has anyone else had a similar experience. I am disappointed now, could you offer any ideas??

- its your imagination. you will get used to it.
- Resale it. I paid x bucks, it is haunted, i want it out now.
- i think your supersticous, anyways if it doesnt feel right, then change the way it feels, putting it in a new environment or painting it or personalitizing it. Nothing is really ever cursed.
- Quite simply bone dosen't feel nice. Thats why people prefer Ivory which of course is illegal so we're stuck with bone.
- Many possible reasons why you feel that way about the snuff bottle.Bottom line is instinc says yucky.Trash it!
- Sell the thing. If you really want to know, ask the buyer after they've left you feedback. But I think your just a bit superstitious
- It sounds like it's carrying negative energy from its previous owner and you're feeling that energy. You can "cleanse" the bottle by doing what they call "smudging with sage." Buy a white sage bundle, burn the tip and direct the smoke towards the bottle. For more details click on the link: http://www.guidancetochangeyourlife.com/sage.html
- I'll buy it if you want. Sounds good to me.
- You can purify it by putting it in sea salt, then ruining it under cold water (a river or lake is prefeable, but a faucet will do) Or you can smuge it with sage. I have found also that leaving objets outside on the earth will also help to remove negative energies.
- There are lots of ways to clean the Aura it has: You can wash it in fresh snow or rain water. You can leave it outside in the moon light. You can bury it for 30 days starting with the full moon. You can smudge it with sage. You can place in under a pyramid or pentacle for 30 days. You can place it under sea salt.....
- Wash it in green tea, sure, why not? OR get a grip. How can there even be such a thing as a curse? How would it work? Its a load of bunk just like astrology.
- Stop being daft! The Monkey is highly esteemed in Chinese folklore, and the cleverest of the Chinese Zodiac animals.
