3. there are many varieties of karate.... in the style i do and its parent styles there are 9 colored belts an then 8 additional degrees of blackbelt.
4. Does it matter? karate is probably one of the biggest MacMartial arts out there. You sign up pay your money learn a few kicks and punches and every few weeks they hand you a new belt. It is such a fake martial art
5. It depends on your school and style. We had: White Adv White Yellow Adv Yellow Orange Adv Orange Purple Adv Purple Blue Adv Blue Green Adv Green Brown 2nd degree Brown 3rd Degree Brown Black Then degrees 1-10th black and finally Master. That makes 26.
6. There is no one, single, correct answer. It will depend on the association, the style of Karate, or the school and the instructor who leads the school.
