Do woman prefer stockings and suspenders (or garter belts for American women) or thigh high hold ups? and why?

I would like to buy my wife a pair and Im wondering which most woman prefer, and is there any preference for lace top, plain, RHT and the thickness?

1. Suspenders; those hold ups pinch with the elastic band..
2. i have garter belts and the thigh high hold ups ...i use to be a buyer for a lingerie boutique and still have loads of the stuff in boxes..i like the lace top and absolutley love the ultr sheer ultra soft black french silk stockings.
3. The hold ups are not comfortable to wear and they fall down anyway. Go for the former.
4. buy her hold ups and a suspender belt too....you can still attach a suspender belt to hold ups! Go for lace top too if it is for a romantic night - they look pretty and will make her feel sexy. Make sure the colour of the stockings and suspender belt match her lingerie! If in doubt go with plain black lace-tops stockings and black lacy suspender belt
5. None - uncomfortable things usually only worn for the benefit of the bloke.. hmm who are you buying these for again!!??
6. I prefer hold ups, lace tops and about 10 denier. Stockings and suspenders are too fiddly, the suspender clips show through your skirt and half the time you are tugging the belt back up your waist. Decent hold ups with latex strips stay up all day long as long as you haven't got lotions or oils on your legs. I would recommend Aristoc or Pretty Polly.
7. Stockings & suspenders for sure. Hold up are inclined to slip down if legs are not ultra skinny.
8. well its difficult we would say suspenders or stockings! =]
