How comfortable is a garter belt and stockings foreveryday hosiery?

Although I am in my 20's, I enjoy wearing hosiery and wear them t frequently. I wear pantyhose with my dresses, skirts, slacks, and even under jeans. However, for several reasons, I would like to get away from wearing pantyhose with my dresses and skirts. I have been trying many brands of thigh high hosiery, but I find that either they don't stay up well on my legs, or the bands are tight and uncomfortable, or the bands irritate my legs. I am thinking of wearing stockings, but don't want to go through the trial and error that I have with thigh high hose. If any ladies have recently worn a garter belt and stockings for all day wear, I would appreciate hearing of your experience and, if good, the brand and type of garter belt.

1. For fun (if you know what I mean) I use Victoria Secret's hose and garter belt. I can't imagine trying to keep them on all day though! It's a skill to get them on and keep them on for only a couple of hours! My husband sure does know how to get them off fast though! LOL Happy summer and good luck!
2. Hmmmm - I have a few garters and stockings from Victoria's and Frederick's. Both are fine. I find that the clips can come undone easily so sometimes I need to readjust them. Mainly it just seems to take longer to put them on which can be a killer if I'm rushing around. I tend to just wear pantyhose or thigh highs - btw I have good luck with the thigh highs from Hanes - they fit well and are pretty comfortable. Whatever you do avoid the backseamed stockings if you are dressing for work - I can never get the seams straight when I wear them.
3. I only wear Victoria's Secret Hosiery. I typically wear pantyhose, and thigh highs. I have never had a problem with my thigh highs falling down. Their hosiery is very well made and very comfortable to wear. You might want to explain your situation to one of their saleswomen and see what they say. Hope this helps :)

5. I wear them everyday, because I really dislike pantyhose, and had the same problem with thi highs. Stockings are way more comfortable an sheer without all that elastic. I find the secret is wearing them really high, which requires a good garter belt with short straps. I prefer one with 6 straps vs 4 because the hold the stockings up better. I get all my stockings at www.stockingstore.com, They have a million choices but a start off with a good garter belt and sheer stockings. They are really really comfy and nice and slippery and sheer, so they really look good and feel great all day.
6. I wear them everyday, and they are super comfortable ,but don't get a Victoria's secret garter belt, or anything that looks like it. They are all show, no go and can't be relied to hold up stockings all day. Go to www.stockingstore.com and get one of their garter belts. They are comfortable and functional, and believe it or not, the leather one is one of the most comfortable because it forms to your body and is made of glove leather so it is super soft.
