Ebay ending auction early?
I ve sold stuff on ebay in the past and people occasionaly ask me to end auctions early I never do this normally but im currently selling my playstation 3 and somebody emailed me saying they live near me and they can pick up and for me to offer them a price, is it worth doing or should i just let the auction end?

- let it end they are just trying to get it cheaper
- you can end early tell ebay someone broke it not meantt to but these things happen they wont know
- If you have an idea of how much you want for it, add £50 on and tell the person that is how much you want. I have never ended an auction early though. It really depends if you are happy with the price and if you can't be bothered to post it :)
- If they are offering u a price that u r willing 2 accept, then let them take it. I would just incase it dont sell and then u r stuck with it. Its up 2 u tho. U could always re list it of they dont some through with it. Just b careful if they are paying u cash and not going through paypal. I prefer paypal on expensive things as u no that u aint gonna messed around.
- If you have a price in mind then stick to it and check how many watchers you have before you decide.
- if the price is right do it, Ebay will ask why it ended early just select item no longer available.
- depends whether you want to take a chance on getting a higher price by letting it go to the end of the auction, are there many people bidding on it, if not if you get a price that you are both happy with it its a lot easier and less fuss than having to post it etc.
- Ebay charge a final selling fee. If you are happy with the price he bids, cancel the item on ebay, and get him to pay you in cash when he collects it. That way you won't have to pay ebay a bigger percentage. ;-)
- Well if the offer is genuine and they have the money up front there is no reason to continue the auction and therefore pay ebay a percentage
- If you do decide to end it early, make sure the buyer pays through Paypal (he can 'Send Money' to your email address via Paypal) as he could later open a dispute and say that he never received the item and the money will be then be taken out of your account. (Always use Paypal - it's safer!!)
- they are running away from delivery charges think about the money you lose from listing
