  1. Wow dude i recommend the first one because is cool and i see it a lot in us navy seals games fast shooting good recoil and looks AWSOME
  2. what do you need a gun like that for.
  3. You should go with a high powered sniper rifle. I would say the 2nd one but get a Remington 700 chambered in .308... That is just one of the most reliable guns ever made. Snipers used it in 'Nam and it is still used on most SWAT teams to this day. You may be to young but you should consider a handgun. A 1911 would be my choice.
  4. Dont go with the bullpup I havent heard anything good about them yet. If I were you I would go with a high power if you have a place to go out and shoot it long range. But if your one of those guys that can only get to a range every now and then I would go with the bullpup. Oh and maybe check out a walther G22?
  5. Depends on your interests as far as what type of shooting you're going to do. Distance / sniper work would dictate the long gun and of course , the short gun would beg for the short, brush / jungle warfare type work. Myself, the long gun is my choice as I like the comfort of distance , and would be willing to acquire the discipline of skill/accuracy involved in the long gun mentality. Although , I have to admit, the 7.62 cartridge is more to my liking, and has a little more "carry" to it over distance, not that I want to be on the business end of a 5.56 ,but the 7.62 does go where I need it to with minimal interference. Choose well.
  6. if i be you i will get the second one
  7. I would get the FS2000 It looks like a fun gun to shoot. Get it because you can. You see I live in Canada and the difference between Canada and the USA is freedom you have it and we don't. I can't get a gun like that I could get an AR but the Mag has to be blocked to 5 shots I have to shoot it only at my gun club and I would need a permit to transport it there. And It is only going to get worse. So get it use it and don't let anyone try to take it from you Don't vote for Obama.
  8. Ok, the FN looks cool, and that's about where the intrigue stops. I shot a few hundred rounds from one in Virginia a few months ago and was definitely not impressed. The only cool feature it has, is the fact that it hold the first three fired casings before it ejects them. Obviously this gun is intended for spec-ops or scenarios where one would not wish to leave evidence. It is undoubtedly the most uncomfortable thing I have ever shot. The trigger pull is long and heavy and SUCKS. And accuracy is not great either. I can do 3/4" groups, standing at 25 yards with my AR15. This thing printed 2" groups at 25. For the 1500+ you would spend on this gun, you can get so much more. Think about an AR10, or Mini 30. As for the bolt action, $3200 can buy so much more. A CZ 550 in .308 makes a damn fine tack driver. As does the CZ 750. A Remington 700 XCR is a good choice for the base of building a target/sniper rifle as well. Bottom line, just because they cost the most, doesn't make them the best.
  9. The BullPup is kind of over-priced..... and that is really no better than the AR15. In addition, parts are not standard. As for your 2nd choice, I would think a Remington 700 would be better. You can get a good rifle for less than that. Have you considered a handgun? Or maybe building a 16 inch AR15 with a collapsing stock? Your first choice is what I would refer to as a "toy"... it looks cool, but it really isn't good for much. The 2nd choice is decent, but you can get something just as good for less money.
  10. Future Marine, First off Thank you! I have tons of friends who served in the Marines it is an excellent Corps, and as you know "Once a Jarhead Always a Jarhead" That aside I would say that since you already have a 5.56 rifle in Semi, and you have covered the bases on "survival" (The .22lr Semi that could be converted in a SHTF situation) a hunting rifle (The fine bolt action in the photo) I would say the tactical bolt action would be the way to go here. it has a lot of the features you would need for the situations it is designed, in a caliber you will be able to get and with the threaded barrel you could upgrade to a suppressor. Just as an aside I am a full time dealer, I will not try to sway you from the other dealer and I like the bolt. However I have had two FN2000 rifles and I did not like the feel , They had a really plastic "toy like" feel to them. In contrast the PS90 was a beter feel and fit the body better. but that was not a choice here. and also is not in a "standard" caliber either. Hope that helps. I like your choices though
  11. The first one is an entry weapon in 223, used to clear buildings. Nah, I wouldn't want it. The second is a 30 calibre with a bipod, now there is a target shooters rifle! Count me in on that one, it could be a good adventure and a deer rifle-guy need venison now and again, ya know. I noticed you like semi-auto but bolt action serves it's purpose well. Spraying a lot of ammo doesn't mean you can place a shot at long range, just means your range is limited. I like your .22, I shoot an Anshuts 1541 hunting style 22 with scope, bolt action. Gotta love the old 22!
  12. that taottaly depends on what you want to do...hunt, or just shoot it for fun...those guns look like you want to shoot for fun so i would say eitheir of those are good
  13. nice collection you are trying to build. I'm also building a collection myself. As for the two options you gave, if I HAD to chose one of the two, i'd go for the 700. With that said, for the price they have it listed for, I'd suggest purchasing a stock Remington 700, buying a separate scope of your liking and do a little research to see what you have to do to convert it into a clone of a M40A1 rifle. I've shot the M40 and that was definitely one of my favorite rifles to shoot when I was in the Corps. That, and the fact that it is just... well.... sexy. The FN is okay... kinda like an overgrown pop gun from what I remember. I shot it a couple months ago and wasn't impressed. If you are looking for a auto, go for a H&K USP or a MP5. Much nice to shoot in my opinion. Caliber, well, that depends on you. .308 from the 700 is nice or you can go to 30-06 or bigger. USP shoots .45's and mp5 is 9mm. A lot easier and cheaper to buy smaller rounds..especially when you are going to be sending them downrange boxes at a time.
