what do i need to do to export a car from japan to new zealand?

I am thinking about buying a car from yahoo auctions ( know any other good sites?) and sending it to NZ. What exactly is the process for deregistrtion... where can i find the forms... do i need to go with the seller? do i need to take the car? thanks
