the stamped number on the tire will tell you the year it was made... the newer the tire the less likely its used
On one side of the tire wall there is written "DOT" followed by several numbers. The last 4 tell you the week and year the tire was manufactured. Examples: 1304 - Manufactured the 13th week of 2004 2407 - Manufactured the 24th week of 2007 BTW, try not to purchase any tire manufactured more than 5 years ago. Good luck
Ask them, they won't lie about that. There are many tire stores. Tell them what you want, they can get anything. Ask them what the 'out the door' price is. Meaning... mounting, balancing (always get them balanced), taxes, everything. Shop around. Put the new on the front & the 2 next best on the rear.
