Do you think Pokemon cards will ever make a comeback as collectibles?

I have this huge binder full of Pokemon cards-- all different kinds, I'm too lazy to list specifics. But do you think they'll ever make a comeback like the old Star Wars collectibles did, or should I just try and sell them now? I'm cleaning out my room and don't know if I should save them in case their value increases one day.

  1. no never
  2. I doubt it i think pokemon is pretty much dead Especially with all the reprints
  3. Nope pokemon cards will never make a comeback. They have been taken over mostly by the yugioh cards and there is no way that pokemon will be able to beat yugioh it terms of cards i suggest u sell them now.
  4. absolutely no... i do love pokemon once... but i think it can never be better... or even back to the way it was...
  5. I don't think so. I think you should keep them. I wonder if they worth a lot in the future if you sell them :p
  6. no pokemon's sort of outdated now
  7. i do. atleast for me because i never liked pokemon as a kid but now i love it so i buy them. and so people are getting into pokemon. just try and sell them though unless you love to battle. ;D
  8. well i would sell them now if they are the old school type cards, like original 150 cards. pokemon the card game is actually making a pretty big comeback where i live, however, the new cards from diamond and pearl are really the only ones used so unless you have bought any of the last five or six sets of pokemon that have come out, yours are pretty much useless. if you have diamond and pearl cards you could probably make a bigger profit or make a descent deck.
  9. GOD!!! Everyone else who answered this question is thinking in terms of "will Pokemon card ever come back and will PEOPLE WANT TO BATTLE WITH THEM?" The answer to that is NO. But as far as being collectibles, YES they will go up in value. Don't even bother trying to sell them now. You'll be luck if you can even get a dime for each one. Just hold them for a long time, keep them in GOOD condition(that's a key!), and eventually you will be able to sell them for more because not everyone will have them. There is online sites that will explain the current value of these card. If you go into Walmart, in the magazine sections, a Pokemon collectors magazine is there. Inside gives the current value of ALL new and old cards. they are more valuable if they are sold as a set rather than individually. Good Luck :-)
