Would the Tampa Bay Bucs be better right now if they had Brett Favre?

When Favre left Green Bay, Tampa tried to pick him up but obviously lost their bid to the Jets. Right now, Tampa is 6-3 and playing pretty good. With Favre, would they have been any better? Would they be 7-2, or even 8-1. Would he have been worth the money?

  1. No sh*t !!! He would make ANY team better . Besides "Pound the rock" Chucky and Favre are buddys from their days with the Packers .
  2. I don't know if they would be better or worse... but I do know that they would have thrown a HELL of a lot more interceptions!
  3. I think they would be about the same. 6-3 for the Bucs is hard to improve because of the team. I think Favre is where he needs to be...New York Jets
  4. honestly what team wouldnt be better with brett farve
  5. it would have not been worth the time and money for favre to go to the bucs. the jets are a much better fit for him. also think the bucs would be a bad team if they had him at QB.
  6. Well actually I don't think it would have made much of a difference. Look at their records. Tampa Bay is only one game worse than the Jets. What I mean is, the Jets were 6-3 before last night. They had the exact record as the Bucs do now. What is my point? My point is that the Bucs are doing just fine without him. But I will say this, Favre automatically makes any team better because he brings with him a legacy of success and he makes his team accountable. He struggled when he first came to NY. But it didn't take him long to get on target. Also its a matter of having the pieces there to work with. The Jets have some decent players for Favre to work with. The Bucs have decent players as well. So it really wouldn't have mattered. The Bucs might still be 6-3 with Favre, because the losses that they Bucs have came because of their defense not holding up in some games.
  7. With the number of chances that Favre takes with his gunslinger mentality The Bucs probably would have lost one or two more games. But they also would probably have won one or two more as well so I say it would probably be a wash. While history has shown that Garcia is no Favre he has played consistently and leading a team to a 6-3 record is nothing to sneeze at. I really do not think he would make the Bucs *significantly* better.
  8. I'm so glad we didn't get him. We would be called the Bandwagon Buccaneers. I'm content with Garcia.
  9. Hard to say because what is saving the bucs is the ability for Garcia to scramble and make plays. Brett is good in the pocket and can elude the defense, but is not good on the run, thats when he forces things and throws ints. But Brett is a good leader on the field and just like in NYJ they adjusted their offense to fit his strengths. So would they be better off with Brett, I doubt it. Hey the Bucs aint doing too bad this year. they are still in the hunt for a playoff birth and so is NYJ.
  10. I hear that when Favre retires he's going to announce his plan for world peace and his cure for cancer. He's going to win the Nobel Peace Prize and be awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor, just for being Bret Favre. There is nothing this man can't do.
  11. H would make any team better, even the Orioles.
  12. No. Brett Farve takes to many risk and just throw balls up and I know a lot of people calls him great because of that but say that other quarterbacks just get lucky. What they need is a coach to have faith in his quarterback.
  13. Princess Farve would throw more than 28 INT's because he's not familiar with the receivers in Tampa Bay,plus the weather is too hot,and I doubt Gruden will take the crap from Brett like Green Bay did
