Is $500 a fair price to replace a wtr pump, timing blt, 3 v-belts, thrmstat, 4 seals, tensnr, idler on 91 Hond?
it's a 91 honda accord station wagon - this price includes parts and labor - and do I have to do all of that? only the water pump is broken

- Sounds about right to me.
- That is a very good price if parts and labor are included.
- thats a deal!... i know only your waterpump is broken but while they are taking the parts off to get to the waterpump its recommened that the other parts be replaced... your timimg belt is important if a water pump is being replaced, the remainder is probably just other good ideas... i paid 700 to get just my timing belt and waterpump replaced on my 2000 civic
- thats a great price for all that.
- thats a fair price, you should have them do the rest of that maintenance while they are reparing the water pump, alot of it is preventative maintenance, belts wear out , and so do seals, the tensioner is their call whether to replace or not .
- Sounds pretty cheap for all that!
- That is a lot better deal to the one paying than to the one getting paid.
- you forgot the radiator hoses, you should do those while you've got it apart also, common practice if you like to take care of your customers, $500 huh? these guys are either starving or there mechanics don't speak a word of english and there tool box is a 5 gal pail a screwdriver a hammer and a crescent wrench. sometimes cheap can be a real headache down the road if you know what I mean.
