where can I find info on doing lease options in the Canadian market -- and which real estate agents can help?

I will be attending a two-hour workshop on lease options, but am a beginner real estate investor. Would anyone know of any reputable brokers/agents in Toronto who work with clients on lease options?

1. Hey! Just about any real estate agent will do a lease option sale if the seller agrees to pay the commission at the time the contract is signed, and yes that can be done. If you are going to one of those get rich in real estate seminars in options, notes, etc. you really need to find an investor/broker/counselor who will work with you on a per deal basis without charging a commission. Even an attorney, and there are many starving out there, that may advise on an hourly basis. These seminars are to find leads for the ones doing the seminars, sell books and tapes and lots of hipe! The stories I hear, like buying a house for $300.00 is just close to fraud since they don't tell people about what is called a redemption period in foreclosure or a tax sale! I was very successful at doing these deals and devised many ways of cutting deals that were unique and simply unheard of! I made money and no one ever got shafted or lost a dime, it can be a win win! 2. In my experience as a realtor in Toronto, these have never been common, even during the down periods. I suggest extreme care.
